/French thriller/
Sebastian, a young man lived with his family in a small holiday resort, in France. They were immigrants and worked hard for a better life. Sebastian fixed roofs occassionally. He got a new commission from a middle-aged man. When he was working on the roof , he heard a conversation through the hole in the roof between man and his sister. They talked about lot of money and a very simple job. The man waited for a letter for advise. Next day the postman delivered a letter to this man. There were instructions about the mission in the letter and included a railroad ticket and a hotel address in an other town. The man lived with drugs. He went in the bathroom and locked the door. When Sebastian broke in the door the man died in overdose. The man’s sister didn’t want to pay for Sebastian’s work. He stole the letter and decided to take the mysterious job.
He travelled to the other town by train. He stayed in the booked room. He had a phonecall and he followed the instructions. The police followed him but he didn’t know it. He found a new letter in a depository at the station. There was a ticket, some money and a card with a number. It was 13.
Sebastian travelled by train but he got off before the final destination. The Police lost his trace. He took a taxi and made a long journey in the countryside of France. Finally he stopped the taxi in a deserted crossroad. He paid to the taxidriver and he left him alone. Then came an other car. The man in the car showed a card with number 13. Sebastian showed his own card. The driver took him deep in the forest by car.
Part II.
There was a castle in the forest. Many expensive and invidual cars parked in front of the castle. The men, who saw the Player Nr. 13, were surprised because they didn’t wait for Sebastian. Sebastian told them the original player died in overdose. They were angry but they didn’t have another player. The pot was very high and Sebastian had to play in this mysterious game.
The game was very simple. There were 12 another player and Sebastian the 13th. They stood in a circle. Everybody got a revolver and hold it to next man’s scrag. There was a lamp in the middle of the room. When the light went off everybody had to shoot. The rich men gambled for these player. All players got one bullet in the first round. They had to revolve the tare awhile then had to shoot. Sebastian survived another people died after the first round. He was sceary and wanted to leave this house. The men, who took him here, stopped him and forced to play the game to the end. Sebastian didn’t have choice.
Every player got two bullets in the second round. Sebastian survived again. The crew took out the dead bodies from the room. They left five players. Player Nr. 6. wanted to kill Sebastian. He had a brother, who bet to him. The rest of the players got three bullets in the 3th. round. There was very risky but Sebastian was lucky again. They left four players.
The organizers made a draw. Two players had to fight a duel. The two person were Player Nr. 6 & Player Nr. 13. They stood in front of each other. They got a revolver with five bullets and hold it to forehead one another then pulled the trigger. Either of the revolvers didn’t fire. The duellers got 5 bullets in their revolvers. They pulled the trigger again. Sebastian shot down the Player Nr. 6. Player Nr. 13. won this bloody game. Sebastian got 850.000,- Euro. Sebastian’s men won millions. They wanted to take Sebastian out of the forest by car. Sebastian didn’t trust in them and he ran away. He found a post office in the next village and sent the money in a packet for his family. He called his brother home to inform about the packet. Then he went to the railway station. There was a taxidriver, who recognized them. He called the police. The policemen came and arrested him. A detective questioned him about the killing game. Sebastian didn’t want to say anything because he killed a man. Finally he made a deal with the detective. He remembered the car’s registration number which he travelled to the castle with. The detective let him go.
Sebastian got on the next train. He wanted to go home. He was very tired and sat down next to the window. A man watched him from the another end of the coach. Sebastian recognized him. He was the player Nr. 6’s brother. He wanted to revenge his brother’s die. He went to Sebastian and shoot him three times. He stole his package but the money wasn’t in it. Sebastian died in the coach. He won a risky game but he was killed.
